Our Future…
We believe the next generation of Palestinians hold the keys to peace and justice in their hands— our mission is to show them how to open doors.
Stepping up to support our community
As a non-profit our focus is to empower and unite the next generation of diaspora Palestinian leaders to develop deeper confidence and create greater impact when advocating for justice and peace for Palestinians across myriad channels.
This involves creating safer spaces for learning, (unlearning), sharing, and imagining what peaceful coexistence looks like, empowering the next generation of Palestinians to push back against Anti-Palestinian Racism (APR), and building the skills and confidence of young Palestinians to self-advocate and show up authentically.
Our goal is to develop advocacy and anti-oppression skills in Palestinian youth. Our approach to Palestinian advocacy is rooted in an intersectional, anti-racist framework. This is about a framework for conversation, moving away from failed rhetoric, while connecting the community for more collaboration and organization.
Our approach will include building and providing educational programming, skill training and travel opportunities for Palestinian youth, networking and knowledge-building with other organizations and groups that share our vision, and delivering clear impact for our supporters and community, working to ensure Palestinian youth get the resources and supports they need.
Our programming (in development):
-
Palestinian youth are sorely under-served; most support channels are informal and lack institutional; support and structure. Palestinian youth deserve so much more.
We will be holding safe spaces and learning opportunities for Palestinian-identified youth, providing mentorship opportunities and skill-building workshops, and more.
Some topics we seek top explore include: ‘The Language of Occupation,’ ‘Anti-Racist Palestinian Advocacy,’ and ‘Advocating for Justice in Canada.’
-
We plan on launching an innovative and rewarding training program to offer Palestinian youth opportunities and skill training directly.
Our first cohort will accept up to 20 young Palestinian-Canadians in our founding year starting Spring 2024. Applicants will share their lived experiences as Palestinians, key interests and areas of interest, their learning, community and self-advocacy goals for their time as PFF finalists, and vision for a better future for Palestinians.
-
We plan on providing grants and scholarships for Palestinian youth to access and leverage towards achieving their personal and professional goals.
-
We will be organizing safe and meaningful in-person opportunities for diaspora Palestinians to connect with their heritage, community and history.
This includes the ambitious goal of a safe, supportive and transformative trip to the Holy Land.
