Our beginnings…

Who we are:

The Palestinian Futures Foundation (PFF) is a non-partisan not-for-profit founded by millennial Palestinian- Canadian women committed to providing the next generation of diaspora youth with the community and opportunities that they wish they had growing up.

Our Mandate:

Our vision is a world where diaspora Palestinians feel empowered and courageous, are able to self-advocate meaningfully in whatever their chosen communities and careers, while thriving through connection to community and each other.

Our mission is to provide Palestinian-led safe and supportive spaces for the next generation of Palestinian leaders to learn and grow, opportunities for them to reconnect with their heritage & community, and programming that develops their practical and political skills towards realizing justice for Palestinians and a free Palestine.

”I believe that if an organization like the PFF existed when I was growing up in Canada, I’d have been so much more confident and proud of my heritage. Palestinian youth have so much to offer and it’s time they get the opportunity!”

— Beisan Zubi, PFF Co-Founder

Our focus

We have selected the following programming pillars:

  • Education and Advocacy: providing mentorship opportunities, skill-building workshops, and conferences for young Palestinians, eg: ‘The Language of Occupation,’ ‘Anti-Racist Palestinian Advocacy,’ and ‘Advocating for Justice in Canada.’

  • Community Building: organizing safe and meaningful in-person opportunities for diaspora Palestinians to connect with their heritage, community and history;

  • Fund Development: providing grants and scholarships for Palestinian youth to access and leverage towards achieving their personal and professional goals.
